Whitney Houston's Daughter, Kristina Brown, Sadly Died In The Exact Same Way As Her Mom | They Were Found In A Bath Tub

Bobbi Kristina Brown's partner Nick Gordon was accused and asked to pay $36 million to her family.

Whitney Houston's music enthralled many, and her death was a huge shock to the fans who adored her. The singer was just 48-years-old when she passed away at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in February 2012. Her body was found in the bathtub, and the authorities claimed that her death was caused by accidental drowning. They also attributed her death to cocaine and heart disease.

Her passing made her only daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the sole heir to her wealth. Unfortunately, her daughter was not lucky enough to enjoy the fruit of her mother's hard work. She, too, tragically died just three years after her mother.

Kristina Brown was born to the singer and her ex-husband Bobbi Brown. Just like her mother's death, Kristina Brown's end way too soon. According to AJC, she was also said to have drowned in the bathtub, drug intoxicated. Her partner Nick Gordon found her in her bathtub on January 31, 2015. Though the 22-year-old was rushed to the hospital, she did not regain consciousness. After months of being in the same state, she died on 26, July 2015.

Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office released a statement saying, "The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication." It further stated, "The autopsy alone could not reveal the underlying cause of death because of the long interval between Ms. Brown being found unresponsive in the bathtub and her eventual death. Thus, the underlying cause of death is based substantially on review of medical records, the results of toxicology tests, investigative records, and the fact that the autopsy did not show any other likely underlying cause of death or reason for Ms. Brown becoming unresponsive."

The reports stated that a mix of marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or anxiety), and morphine were found in her blood.

"It could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use. The other question which arises is the manner of death. In other words, did death result from natural causes such as disease, an intentional act such as suicide or homicide, an unintentional cause (accident), or in an undetermined manner when a more specific manner of death cannot be established," continued the statement.

Soon, Nick Gordon was held responsible for her death. He was present during the death of Houston, and according to Global News, Gordon did not show up for a hearing and the judge ruled he was  "legally responsible" in September 2016. Court-appointed conservator Bedelia Hargrove pointed fingers at Gordon for her death.

The Guardian reported that the singer had left behind a huge amount of wealth for her one and only offspring. She was supposed to inherit a part of the wealth by 21 and another part by 25. By the time she turned 30, she would have total control of all the money. Houston gave trustees the power to withdraw money for her daughter's education, to start a business, or buy a house.

As per USA Today, Gordon was accused of transferring her money without authorization and also accused of battery and assault. However, Gordon ignored the court for months but finally caved in after a Fulton County judge ordered him to pay $36 million to her family for the death.

Coincidently, Gordon also died suddenly at the age of 30. According to LA times,  Attorney Joe Habachy of Atlanta said, "It’s been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential." The cause of his death was not revealed.
