Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were a power couple. Their marriage ended in 2005.
Life takes us all through different journeys. Sometimes, it may not go as planned and you may have ended up hurting people who loved and cared for you. However, you can always make it right. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's marriage did not end very well but years later, Brad made it right.
Brad and Jennifer did not have a great relationship after their divorce in 2005. Brad moved on to create his family with Angelina Jolie and Jennifer went on to marry Justin Theroux. But the dynamics of their relationship took a different turn when Jennifer lost her mother. According to Cheat Sheet, Brad reached out to the Friends actress when her mother passed away in 2016.
According to US Weekly, a source said, "Brad contacted Jen after her mom died, and she was touched that he knew what a difficult time it was. They have each other’s cell phone number and communicate from time to time. This is nothing new. Jen and [Brad] have remained friendly.”
Apparently, the mend in the relationship happened only after Brad apologized to the actress for the way he dealt with the divorce. According to sources, Brad always felt he could have "handled the end of their marriage in a more thoughtful manner."
So, he went ahead and asked Jennifer for forgiveness. Though Jennifer was very hurt by the way things ended with him, time had allowed her to heal. She eventually accepted his apology and began a cordial relationship with him.
"He has apologized to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship. He truly takes ownership for his mistakes and that has changed their relationship with each other today. They both have moved on. Right now they just love and adore each other and have been much closer friends since their divorces. Brad has grown so much in his life since he and Jen broke up," said a source, according to Mirror Online.
Brad's genuine care and support for Jennifer was later seen at the SAG awards. Attending the award show that took place on January 19, 2020, the former couple looked happy in each other's company. Not only did they share a laugh together but they also encouraged and appreciated each other. While Brad took to stage and joked about his failed marriage, the cameras showed a cheerful Jennifer listening keenly and laughing.
However, the moment that blew the minds of many across the globe is the video of Brad standing backstage and watching his former wife delivering her phenomenal speech after accepting the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for The Morning Show. Later, they exchanged some adorable moments backstage that excited their fans.
Speaking of Brad's gesture, Jennifer said it was "sweet" of him to drop everything he was doing to watch her. “We’ve all grown up together; we really have. And it just feels like a really fun night to celebrate and cheer each other on and keep working. There are not dark hours, but, you know, you don’t really have that much of a life, so it’s nice to come out and put a pretty dress on and sort of celebrate your friends and their work, and inspire each other to keep going—and like [Brad] said, it’s back to work tomorrow," said Jennifer, according to Glamour.
Recently, they came together for a virtual reunion. The former partners came together for a Zoom table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont Highland and undoubtedly, things got a bit interesting.
Before getting on with the read, the actors greeted each other. "How you doing Aniston?" asked Brad to Jennifer. "Good honey. how are you doing?" replied the actress. The duo's video went viral and many fans wondered if they would ever see them as a couple again.
Brad and Jennifer have already stated that they are good friends. But many fans still hope that they rekindle their romance.
