Bride Surprises Guests As She Holds Bouquet Made Of Donuts: "Different, Fun, And Light-Hearted"

Instead of picking out flowers for bouquets she and her bridesmaids would hold during the ceremony, Paige Kirk was busy tasting donuts.

For most, their wedding day holds a huge significance in life and understandably they want it to be the best. One bride from Syndey found a unique way of making her big day extra special. Instead of picking out flowers for bouquets she and her bridesmaids would hold during the ceremony, Paige Kirk was busy tasting donuts. Yes, you heard it right! The bride decided to replace the traditional flower arrangement with these sweet-tasting delights and in doing so left everyone surprised. "Me and my husband Steven thought it would be different, fun, and light-hearted," she told BBC back in 2017.

Kirk and her husband, Steven, had known each other for two years before they began dating for three years. Apart from being an important milestone, their wedding was a celebration of the five years they had known and loved each other. Naturally, they wanted their special day to perfectly reflect their personalities. "We wanted the wedding to be a bit different and really reflect who we are as a couple," she explained. Her guests were just as excited about the unusual edible decoration as the bride who shared that her guests, "loved them." Kirk continued, "Everyone thought it was hilarious, and the venue couldn't believe it."

The sugary desserts were beautifully arranged in such a way that they looked no less than a wedding bouquet. Despite its lip-smacking appearance, the bridal party somehow managed to resist eating them on the big day, revealed Kirk. "We had plenty of goodies beforehand so we were too full to eat them. Brides should be a bit more relaxed and have fun!" she added. Per reports, the bouquets were actually a donation from a company, Dessert Boxes, that had organized a competition. The idea behind the edible bouquet was to create an alternative to flower gifts and Kirk was the first bride to walk down the aisle with it.

It's not just the bride and groom who try to think out of the box to make their big day a success. Some wedding planners go out of their way to make sure everything is just perfect. A recent viral video on Facebook showed a man carefully shuffling down on his hands and knees while under the bride's dress. Now the man in question was a wedding planner who held onto the bride's heavy dress and helped her walk down the aisle on the extremely windy day. Leaves can be seen strewn all over the red carpets, while the audio was muffled by the strong gusts.

The bride-to-be from the Philippines seemed a little uncomfortable as she dragged her skirt and walked towards the stage alongside her husband. In a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, a man suddenly pops out from underneath her billowing gown and casually walks away. It was pretty evident that the wedding planner did his best to stealthily get out of the way but it ended getting caught on camera. He sure set the bar quite high for other planners as didn't even let nature stop him from giving his client the best possible wedding that he promised.

We previously reported that the video was posted by the planner named Lunesa Roel who captioned the picture, "I'm just really happy to be under the bride's gown while she's shining in the aisle." Roel added, "With the force of the wind, I just went downstairs so that the bride could shine." There were many who lauded the man's dedication writing, "Good Job Sir!" Others joked saying, "Flexibility at its finest." For some, the guests' reaction to his exit was extremely hilarious to watch. "Notice the grey t-shirt man and the bridesmaids, did someone forget to tell them? The child looks like she is having a crisis of sorts looking at his exit. This is priceless," shared one.
