The family is excited to celebrate the holiday season. They will be joined by Meghan's mother.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating their first Christmas in America after stepping down as senior members of the royal family. According to People, the couple released their first holiday card since their move to Montecito, California.
The card released through Mayhew, Meghan's animal welfare organization patronage in the U.K, is an illustration of a photo taken by Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.
We’re thrilled to receive wonderful Christmas wishes from our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex, who also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community. 💜 From all of us at Mayhew, thank you and Merry Christmas. 🎄🐶🐱— Mayhew 🐶🐱 (@themayhew) December 23, 2020

It shows the happy family of three along with their two dogs, Pula and Guy, in their backyard. 19-month-old Archie who has inherited his father's red hair is seen sharing a smile with Harry outside his playhouse. Megahan, on the other hand, is seen seated facing the father-son duo. The adorable card stated, "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year."
A spokesperson for the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex stated, "The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by The Duchess’s mother." They added, "The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays.”

The family's card also claimed that they made a personal donation to Mayhew and other charity organizations.
“This year we, as a family, have made donations to several charities with you in mind," wrote Meghan.
"From a local California organization that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our U.K. patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honored their work on behalf of all of us," she added.
When it comes to Christmas plans in California, the couple is very "excited." Just like Thanksgiving, the couple will be joined together by Meghan's mother Doria Ragland for the holiday festivities.
According to sources, the couple enjoyed decorating their new home and going Christmas tree shopping together. "Archie is thriving and growing quickly. As a family, they spend hours outside," said an insider.
Last year, the family spent their Christmas on Vancouver Island in Canada. It was their first Christmas card as a family of three. Prince Harry and Meghan posed with a Christmas tree in the background and little Archie in between them.
Earlier, Meghan opened up about her miscarriage and the difficult times they went through as a family. Hope that the holiday season would brighten their spirits.
