Kelly Clarkson Never Thought She Would Find A Man She Could "Stay In Bed With All Day" But Is Now Happily Married To One

The singer admitted that when she told her now-husband that she loves him, it was the first time she actually meant it.

To spend years beside someone and still feel yourself light up when you see your partner can make you feel grateful for every single day you spend with them. For Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock, it might just be something like that.

In an episode of the Kelly Clarkson Show, she and Brynn Cartelli asked each other some "burning" questions during the segment called "Ask Me Anything".

"What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?" Cartelli asked Clarkson had a very interesting answer.

"Well, Brynn, I was single for many years, so... I have children. And how one makes children is generally what I do before bed. That’s not a lie," Clarkson laughed and said, as quoted by ET Canada. "That’s real. And it’s not weird! It’s natural!"

Clarkson and Blackstock have been married since October 2013, according to Good Housekeeping. And even after years together, their relationship still has the excitement that couples hope to never lose.

The singer doesn't shy away from talking about the passionate relationship she shares with her husband. "Any time we’re in a discussion about sex with a bunch of couples, Brandon and I stay pretty quiet," she told Redbook. "To keep it family appropriate, let’s say we’re just a lot more active than other couples. I’m a person who loves change. He loves spontaneity. Having a set time or place [to have sex] would be boring to us."

It's rare to find the kind of person that you always hope to have and Clarkson believes she found herself that man. "When I met Brandon, I wasn’t looking for a friend. I have a lot of great friends! I was looking for a lover," she went on to say. "I had never found someone I was truly passionate about, who I wanted to stay in bed with all day. The fact that I did, well... I was going to latch on and take advantage of that."

Along with the romance, there's also a loving connection between them. Clarkson revealed when she told Blackstock those three important words, "I love you", it was the first time in her life that she actually meant it, as reported by E!

When she appeared on CBS Sunday Morning With Charles Osgood, she told Terry Smith, "He was the first guy I …said it [to] – and wanted to say it. I didn't feel like I had to. Because, like, 'Oh, that's what you have to do when you say it.'"

She American Idol winner also added, "Yeah, yeah, that's the first time that happened," she adds. "That's horrible. But it's true. And that's how – what it is."

After being single for a long time, she's finally in a happy and loving marriage. "I never thought honestly I would get married or fall in 'love', like they say in the movies," said Clarkson. "You know, I never thought that would happen. And, not so because I didn't think it was true... I just didn't know if it was possible."

Even before they got married, Clarkson could see a future with him, despite seeing so many failed relationships in her family. "I'm from a family of broken marriages, but we will definitely break that trend one day," she said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show back in 2012. "I'm completely head over heels for him. He knows that."

Years have passed and the married couple is now raising a family together. And it seems like she's still completely head over heels for him.
