Dylan, 25, and Paris, 21 are opening up about the influence their famous father has had on them.
Pierce Brosnan needs no introduction. The Irish actor is renowned for playing agent 007 aka the iconic James Bond in four films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002). But perhaps not many know about his personal life. The Golden Globe-nominated star married Keely Shaye Brosnan in August 2001 and they've been together ever since.
The couple has two sons together — Dylan, 25, and Paris, 21. Pierce has one child, Sean, from his previous marriage with his first wife of 11 years actress Cassandra Harris who died from ovarian cancer in 1991. The actor adopted Harris' two children, Charlotte and Christopher.

Recently Pierce Brosnan's sons Dylan and Paris graced the cover of GQ along with their famous 69-year-old father. They told the magazine they learned a lot from their father as they grew up during the height of his fame. The actor taught the boys a lot about "preparation, passion, confidence, showing up on time." Dylan's favorite piece of advice from his father is "Don't be afraid to make fun of yourself."
The boys grew up in Kauai, Hawaii, before settling in Los Angeles during their teen years. They describe being in Hawaii as the most normal period of their lives with Dylan comparing it to the film Stand By Me. “A bunch of kids running around a forest, looking for something to do, riding bicycles down the street, going to caves and swimming and surfing and stuff,” he said. “I would be there and then come here for a few days.” The other children were rather curious about his constant disappearances from school. The family had to travel a lot because of their dad's projects. “Kids would be like, ‘Oh, yeah – you’re that guy. I went to fifth grade with you for, like, one week, and then you left.’ ” Their father has surprisingly discouraged the kids from pursuing an acting career. "Just because it's f***ing hard work," the actor revealed. "It's a cross to bear. You're constructing and destroying yourself." The kids are focussing on less taxing creative pursuits. Paris loves to paint and surf and is a runway model. Dylan has a passion for music and plays every instrument on a record.
According to PEOPLE, the boys were named Golden Globe Ambassadors in 2020. They called the honor “a dream come true” and told the outlet at the time, "The first time I get to go to the Golden Globes is when I'm the ambassador alongside my older brother," Paris said. "It's a big deal for me."
